Who we are

Fantasy Coach (fantasycoach.org) is an independent, AI-powered coaching tool for Fantasy Premier League managers, run from Lebanon. "We", "us" and "our" in this policy mean the operator of Fantasy Coach. For anything about your data, message us on Telegram (@fantasycoachai) or X (@fantasycoachai).

We collect only what we need to run the service. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

What we collect

When you create an account

• Your email address and password - we store only a salted, one-way hash of your password, never the password itself
• Your FPL team ID, so SIA can look at your squad
• The date you signed up, and who invited you if you joined through an invite link

When you use Fantasy Coach

• Your credit balance, credits spent, Golden Boot status, and how many free messages you've used each gameweek
• A record of each AI request (time, type of request, AI model used, and its size in tokens) - this is not the content of your messages
• Draft squads you save, and promo codes you redeem
• Your chat messages are sent to our AI provider to generate SIA's reply. We don't keep a copy of your conversations in our database.

When you buy credits

• The pack you bought, the amount, the date, and the payment provider's transaction reference
• Payment is handled entirely on Whish Pay's own page - we never see or store your card or wallet details

When you visit the site

• A random visitor ID (stored in a cookie), the pages you view, and when
• Your approximate country, looked up from your IP address on your first visit. We store the country, not the IP address.
• If you use the "Try SIA" box without an account: a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, reset daily, used only to limit free tries to one per day. Your question is sent to our AI provider and not stored.
• Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses and requests) for security and to keep the site running

If you use our Telegram bot

• Your Telegram chat ID, the FPL team ID you give the bot, and how many messages you've used each gameweek

How we use it

• To run your account and give you advice about your own FPL squad
• To manage credits, free allowances and purchases
• To prevent abuse and keep the service secure
• To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (for example visitors per country) and to improve it
• To comply with the law

We don't send marketing emails today. If we ever do, we'll only send them with your consent and every email will let you opt out.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the services we need to run Fantasy Coach, and only what each one needs:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) - receives your messages and the FPL data needed to answer them, to generate SIA's replies
• Fantasy Premier League (fantasy.premierleague.com) - we fetch public data for your FPL team ID; we don't send them your email or account details
• Whish Pay - processes payments; receives the amount, the pack name and an order reference
• Fly.io - hosts the site and its database on servers in Frankfurt, Germany
• GitHub - stores our encrypted database backups
• GeoJS (geojs.io) - turns an IP address into a country on your first visit
• Telegram - only if you choose to use our Telegram bot

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or security of our users or the service.

If Fantasy Coach is sold or transferred. If the site, or the business that runs it, is sold, merged or otherwise transferred, your data may pass to the new owner as part of that transfer. The new owner must keep using it in line with this policy. We'll tell you before that happens, by a notice on the site or by email, so you can delete your account first if you prefer.

Where your data is processed

Fantasy Coach is run from Lebanon, our servers are in Germany, and some of the services above are based in other countries, including the United States. By using Fantasy Coach, your data may be transferred to and processed in these countries. We use reputable providers and share only what's needed.

How long we keep it

• Account, usage and purchase records: for as long as your account exists. Purchase records may be kept longer where the law requires.
• Visit records: kept for site statistics, linked only to a random visitor ID.
• Hashed "Try SIA" records: used for one day's limit, and contain no readable IP address.
• Backups: deleted data can remain in our backups for up to 90 days (hosting snapshots for up to 30 days, encrypted off-site backups for up to 90 days) before it's overwritten.

Cookies and browser storage

• Session cookie - keeps you logged in. Essential; the site can't work without it.
• Visitor ID cookie - a random ID kept for up to 1 year, used for our own visit statistics.
• Browser storage - remembers your FPL team ID, your display settings and which deadline reminder you've already seen, on your own device.

We don't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.

How we protect it

The site runs only over encrypted HTTPS connections, passwords are stored as salted one-way hashes, off-site backups are encrypted, and access to the database is limited to the operator. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Give you a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your account and data
• Stop or limit how we use your data

Message us on Telegram or X with the email address on your account - we may ask you to confirm it's yours before acting - and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example under the EU or UK GDPR, or Lebanon's Law No. 81/2018), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Fantasy Coach isn't intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll also put a notice on the site before they take effect.
